Overview
With increased development in the Middle East and North Africa region, skilled construction project managers are in high demand. To meet this need, EFE has launched a Construction Project Management (CM) Training and Job-Placement Program to train unemployed engineering graduates from a spectrum of engineering specialties to work as construction project managers. Graduates have the skills to ensure that construction projects are completed safely, on budget, and on time.
CurriculumThe training delivery method is designed to be highly interactive, including learning activities and simulations. The CM program curriculum outline includes practical and application-oriented training, including:
Ranges from one to six months and may be integrated with an internship, corporate training, or the first months of employment.
PedagogyDelivered in two modules: intensive English-language training (60 hours) and the Construction Management curriculum (120 hours). Students commit to group activities and homework as well.
Student ProfileFrom 22 to 24 years old; Bachelor's degree in engineering; academic capacity.
TrainersExperienced local engineering instructors undergo intensive training from Colorado State University (CSU) before they are qualified to deliver the course.
DevelopmentThe CM curriculum was developed by CSU, home to the United States' largest department of construction management.
CustomizationEFE works with local business leaders and training experts to adapt the program's content and structure to meet local needs, and to translate the textbooks when necessary.
