"Mini-MBA" Business Training and Job-Placement Program

Overview

Utilizing internationally acclaimed Marketplace simulation technology, EFE's Mini-MBA Program responds to the growing need for future corporate employees to master the skills, acquire the knowledge, and develop the attitudes necessary for success from their first day on the job. In this way, the technical skills learned in an academic environment are integrated into a holistic understanding of the business world.

Curriculum

  • Phase 1: Intensive Business English
    • Students take highly interactive and practical business English courses, emphasizing speaking and writing skills that draw on actual documents and scenarios typical for major corporations. English skills are put to the test as students present, negotiate, and write business plans in the Marketplace simulation.
  • Phase 2: Marketplace business simulation
    • Marketplace simulation is a continuous online learning program that takes students through the day-to-day aspects of developing and operating a business. Unlike a traditional textbook-based course, Marketplace offers practical, real-world experience as students apply what they have learned in the classroom to a wide range of business decisions. Learning to analyze markets, formulate strategies, and manage companies, students see the immediate results of their actions. The simulated online training is coupled with a customized lecture series on everything from ethics to finance to tax law.

Duration

Phase 1: Intensive Business English: 150 hours, generally taught over 4-6 weeks.

Phase 2: Marketplace simulation: 150 hours, taught subsequently over 4-6 weeks.
