EFE’s mission is to improve the futures of young people in the Middle East and North Africa by giving them the tools to build livelihoods for themselves.
Our goal is to give youth whose prospects are limited -- either by socio-economic constraints or by inadequate education -- cutting-edge professional training that leads directly to job opportunities.
EFE operates on three levels: Education, Employment and Alumni Support.
In addition, we are actively expanding into new countries of operation and helping local academic institutions, employers or NGOs replicate our programs, ensuring that thousands more young people benefit from the educational and professional opportunities we are able to provide.
EFE and our affiliate foundations create world-class professional and technical job training programs to help young people acquire the skills they need to get and keep a job.
We work in conjunction with business, government and education leaders in our countries of operation, adapting curricula produced by internationally-recognized experts to ensure that our graduates have the specific skills needed by their future employers.
To date, EFE has graduated nearly 600 students in a wide range of professional and vocational fields. Our programs are replicable and scalable, and currently exist in Jordan, West Bank, Gaza, Egypt, Morocco and Yemen.

EFE and its affiliates secure job commitments from our business partners before training begins so that young people graduating from our courses are placed directly into jobs for which they were trained.
Our alumni work in industries ranging from hotel management and hospitality to business consulting and media, accounting and finance, construction, education, HVAC repair and maintenance and IT.

EFE provides ongoing support to its graduates through a network of alumni who serve as mentors and through online continuing education. Most graduates contribute a percentage of their first year’s salary back to EFE to offer the same opportunity to other young people.
